The standard single-source iOS catalog uses a 1024×1024 image. IconBundlr’s exported catalog supplies that resolution for its three raster appearances. It does not include a pre-rendered file for every smaller icon size.

Legacy iPhone and iPad slots

A 60-point iPhone Home Screen icon at 3x is 180 pixels; an 83.5-point iPad slot at 2x is 167 pixels. Do not label those pixel dimensions as point sizes and multiply them again. The target’s asset slots determine which variants you supply.

Other platforms

A watch source canvas is not the displayed Home Screen size. A traditional Mac icon set has separate point-size and scale slots. Current layered workflows differ again. Consult the relevant target and current documentation rather than treating one iOS manifest as a universal Apple package.

Use the reference calculator

The icon-size calculator retains Apple-platform legacy reference rows, a custom point-to-pixel calculation and data-copy controls. Its copyable Contents.json is explicitly iOS-only.

Validate files, not a promise

Compare the selected target, manifest, filenames and real image dimensions. For a standard iOS raster appearance, use an opaque full-bleed master. Other appearance and layered workflows have separate requirements; a blanket transparency rule for all platforms is misleading.

IconBundlr export and purchase scope

IconBundlr’s native iOS export contains three 1024×1024 PNG appearance assets (light, dark and tinted) and Contents.json inside AppIcon.appiconset. Appearance processing is best-effort: if foreground extraction cannot produce a distinct variant, a slot can reuse the light artwork. Review each result in Xcode. This is an iOS asset catalog, not an Icon Composer .icon file or a complete Android, macOS, watchOS, tvOS or visionOS package.

IconBundlr is free to download, with limited free generation. Available in-app purchase options can include a renewing subscription, lifetime export access and individual-icon unlock credits. The app shows the current price, included access, renewal terms and any eligibility requirements in your storefront before purchase. A subscription is not a lifetime purchase, and an icon credit does not grant unlimited generation.
